East Coast "Bell Built" Finalists Need Your Vote to Win All-Ages Flow Trail!
ELLICOTTVILLE, NY --The Western New York Mountain Bike Association has defeated hundreds of worthy rivals to earn finalist honors. Between May 5th and 18th, we need your vote to win Bell Helmet's $33,000 podium--a prize that will let us build an all-ages, all-abilities "flow trail"
to share with thousands of riders in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Southern Ontario.

This 2-mile trail will be nestled into the beloved Holiday Valley Ski Resort, offering the perfect way for beginning riders to get out and go, and for advanced riders to experience berms, rollers, and other super-fun "flow" features. Additionally, the new trail will give all riders better access to our existing 30 miles of singletrack, which IMBA has described as "epic" and "some of the finest mountain biking trails on the East Coast." (We blush. We build.)
Will the new trail be free to use? Heck yes it'll be free to use! And thanks to support from the local community?including Holiday Valley, which has pledged significant additional resources if we win?it'll add greatly to the richness of Ellicottville's outdoor offerings, welcoming new riders and new visitors alike.
What are our credentials? WNYMBA is a diverse, growing club that includes everyone from kids with training wheels, to young-gun shredders, to old folks enviously eyeballing those kids' training wheels. We're heavily involved in trail building and maintenance, work closely with local businesses and organizations, and we host events?races, festivals, and swap meets--that welcome families and bicyclists of all kinds.
In closing, we've learned to support racers who show up in their children's tutus. We've figured out a way to actually pronounce the word "WNYMBA." We have a motorized wheelbarrow named "Trav."
With your help, we can win this.
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT of the Holiday Valley Ski Resort Trail!
