Take Marc Marquez out of the 2014 MotoGP season--which is a little like taking Jesus out of the New Testament--and it's interesting to mull what might have been. Consider a season without the most dominant rider the series has seen in years ...

Had Marc Marquez not raced in the 2014 season, Yamaha's Valentino Rossi would have won three races already this season, with Dani Pedrosa winning the other two. Rossi and Pedrosa would be dueling for the MotoGP world championship, which is an amazing and tantalizing scenario to consider.
