Ferracci not done yet
A call to Fast by Ferracci today netted this news: they still are not ruling out a Superbike program for 2000. "We might do AMA, might do PACE, might do a limited schedule, might not." we were told. Ferracci and company will be doing the PACE SuperCross series this year with their Husky motocrossers.
MV buyers like Jim Clark of Netscape, Lyle Lovett, Jay Leno and other super enthusiasts might be getting their MV Agusta gold edition bikes right around the holidays, which will be one of the nicest holiday gifts you can get.
Unofficial lap times from the Honda/Erion Honda test at Willow Springs: Nicky Hayden 1:23.1; Kurtis Roberts 1:23.4; Josh Hayes 1:23.6 and Miguel DuHamel in his first ride since the Atlanta 600 Supersport crash: 1:24.0.
Willow update: Things are looking a little better for the AMA round to stay on the schedule there, with other members of the Huth family interested in taking over the promoter responsibilities. More will be known tomorrow.
The image on the front page of the site is not a Yoshimura Tornado as some theorized, but is in fact a Suzuki Suzuka eight hour bike circa 1985-86 ridden by Kevin Schwantz and Graham Crosby.
More later.
