Willow Springs AMA Superbike Event Canceled

As was leaked here weeks ago, the 2000 Willow Springs AMA Superbike race has been canceled.

The decision by Willow Springs was made late last week, and they have informed the AMA, say my sources, that they will not hold the event in 2000.

The date at Willow that the AMA was to have their race will now be taken by PACE, for their fledgling roadrace series. PACE reps visited Willow last week.

I'd expect official comment by the AMA in a few days.
