Moments ago, Honda's Miguel DuHamel just crashed his 600 in the west horseshoe. DuHamel low-sided into the corner and got up right away, appearing to be unhurt.
DuHamel broke the right clip on, windscreen and other parts on the bike, and once the cornerworker and he lifted the bike up, DuHamel rode it back to the pits. (Yes, with a broken throttle side clip-on).
At the same time Russell, Kocinski and Kurtis Roberts hooked up for a 7-10 lap dice with Russell leading most of the laps. Their lap times were right at 1:50 and all looked to be having big fun.
The sun is getting lower in the sky, the track temp is going down with it, so fast times may just be minutes away. Stay tuned, as they say.
