Tommy Hayden on his 53.9 lap at the very end of the day.
"My brother and I were running together. I waited until the very end until I went out there with a new tire and tried to cut a really fast one. Unfortunately, they had shut down the AMA timing but it read 53.9 on my lap timer."
Tommy on his settings on the ZX-6 versus Bostrom's last year.
"Our settings are pretty similar but we softened it up a little bit and as the week went on we softened it even more. Things are working out so far and our lap times really improved since I rode the bike the first time (in California). At 15 and 16 laps I was still able to do low 55s."
Jamie Hacking on his test:
"What we accomplished we did in a short time on the Superbike. We probably only ran five sets of new tires on the bike the whole time I rode it but I accomplished what I set out to do. We got a lot of laps on the bike with my new team and I have a good feel for the bike. Now I get to keep testing the rest of the winter instead of being laid up injured and now we have a head start for when we come down in March."
Mike Hale on his return to motorcycle racing.
"It was a good week. I'm happy with where we ended up. I'd like to be more consistently fast."
Hale on the Honda 929:
"It was a handful around here. It's never been on the track here before so we didn't have a base setting."
Aaron Yates on his test:
"I'm pretty happy with things. We had a lot of new bits and pieces to sort through. I did a lot of evaluating and found some things that made the bike feel better to me."
