If you've been led to believe that former AMA Superbike rider Mike Hale might be joining Competition Accessories for 2001 because he is going to be riding one of their Ducatis at the Dunlop test next week, cancel that.

Hale is not joining the team.

Sources at CompAcc.com say Hale will ride the team's 2000 bikes at the test and is doing so because he may buy or lease them to build his own team, and because ComAcc want to help him get back on his feet so to say, if he can.

Their 2000 team will be John Kocinski and Larry Pegram, with Kocinski bringing in his Japanese mechanic, and the team sporting a brand new transporter. Kocinski and Pegram will ride 2001 Ducatis.
