Scott Russell is on-track this afternoon trying for a fast lap. Russell spent this morning on the sidelines as his HMC Ducati was fitted with a new 996 engine.

Russell's team-mate, Steve Rapp, crashed a few minutes ago in turn six. Both bike and rider are fine, or at least Rapp walked away from the crash.
