Jimola's Classic World Superbike Portraits, Part 2
images by Jimola from Imola

The late Norick Abe, Valencia, Spain 2005

Fabien Foret, Yamaha World Supersport rider. Heavily injured & unable to walk, I watched his Belgarda Yamaha engineers lift him onto his R6 to qualify.

Nori Haga, Assen 2004. Snatch the pebble from my velocity stack, grasshopper.

Yukio Kagayama, Alstare Corona Suzuki, Valencia 2005. It is shocking to see how much Kagayama has aged in 4 seasons, until one considers the extensive injuries he has endured in the interim. During an interview at this round, Yukio spoke of a near life ending crash in England, which dislodged his 'piss pipe'.

Andrew Pitt, Belgarda Yamaha, first season on the R1.

Stephan Chambon, 1999 World Supersport Champion, in his last appearance with Alstare Suzuki, Magny Cours, 2004. He 'retired' in 2004, but came back in 2005 on a privateer bike, with mid pack results, purely for the love of racing.

A rare light moment for Troy Corser, during the Siberian seasons at Foggy Petronas.
