Riders Get Honorary Street Names In Indy
images by thanks, IMS

There are 12 street signs erected in downtown Indianapolis to honor MotoGP World Champions and current American riders during Race Week of the Red Bull Indianapolis GP.

The riders with their names on the street signs are Colin Edwards, Nicky Hayden, John Hopkins, Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey, Kenny Roberts, Kenny Roberts Jr., Valentino Rossi, Kevin Schwantz, Freddie Spencer, Ben Spies and Casey Stoner.

This sign will give Hayden plenty of solace as he sits in the stands of the Indy Mile Saturday night, bummed beyond comprehension that he can't ride the dirt track. Not.

While the yellow coloring on this sign may lead one to believe it is for King Kenny, the number reveals the sign is for uber enthusiast Kenny Roberts Junior.
