On his three days in Daytona:
"We got a lot of laps in. We had some new stuff to test, including some suspension bits. I think we found some stuff."
On riders in the 48s:
"That's great. Excellent! They're my heroes."
"A 48's not going to help ya, unfortunately, on Sunday at Daytona, and I haven't seen anything out there consistency-wise as far as race laps from anybody that's really impressed me. I guess we'll just have to wait 'til March."
On if he feels the Yoshimura team is ready for the 2002 season:
"You've always got a long way to go, especially after you've won the championship three times. Everyone wants to beat you up. You're always striving to work harder. We have a lot of things to do and a lot of testing, but we'll be ready."
