1993 world champion Kevin Schwantz was at Motegi last weekend for official functions in his role as Suzuki’s worldwide ambassador.
While in Japan he was reunited with one of his 1993 RGv500 Grand Prix bikes, and he also posed with Mr. Mitsuo Itoh.
Itoh is a former GP rider and GP winner for Suzuki (1963 50cc race at the IOM). After his racing career ended Itoh ran the Suzuki GP team for decades and was the man in charge when Schwantz won the 1993 title.
