Superbikeplanet and motorcycle racing lost a friend last week when photographer Marco Guidetti passed away from cancer. The summer of suck continues. Here: Pirro in Raybanz.
Marco was tireless. He did Sepang tests 4 times one year BEFORE THE SEASON EVEN BEGAN.
Boom. Cover shot. If there were still magazines.
Guidetti came to racing pre-digital so he knew all the angles and all the good backgrounds.
Action was Marco G!’s forte but he could swing a haunting portrait when he wanted to.
Marco traveled with the Italian group in the media center but knew everyone in the paddock.
Lorenzo in the dark at Qatar.
Marco’s strength was his conviction and his strength. He never took a session off. You never saw him in the press room when bikes were on track.
Marco knew Valentino basically his entire life but he never asked him for anything.
Guidetti was a second generation GP photographer and began shooting GP in his teens.
