I shot this at Laguna in the early 1990s trying to illustrate how close the riders were at all times to the straw bales that lined the racetrack.
This is Three-time AMA Superbike champion Doug Chandfler exitiing turn 11 on the factory Cagiva. Basically he is pointed right at the row of bales which lined the turn one hill.
This was printed from a black and white negative on 16×20 Ilford paper using traditional methods–not an ink jet.
