Tech 3 Yamaha announced this morning that MotoGP rider Jonas Folger will not race in 2018 as he tries to recover from his onset of Gilbert’s syndrome. No replacement was named.
Actual medical professionals not involved in Folger’s case but that had treated patients with the same condition suggested after Folger’s diagnosis that Gilbert’s Syndrome is a genetic condition that can be treated, but cannot ever be cured in the conventional sense.
Stress is a known trigger for Gilbert’s Syndrome.
