Film: Engaged With Death

it isn’t just modern four-stroke MX bikes that look like a safe thrown off the roof of a building when they are jumped.

Rodaggio Films has “adopted” the long-forgotten 1957 film Engaged with Death. Presumably they intend to re-release it, hopefully with English subtitles. It seems that Rodaggio films is restoring the old classic and will be offering fans a chance to help them bring the project to fruition. Read that as crowd-funding.

The teaser posted on Vimeo is well worth watching, and answers one long held question: what did it look like when those old dustbin fairing bikes crashed?.

There are wonderful scenes of the old Monza track and dustbin bikes in a wind tunnel as well.

Also, after watching the off-road scenes of the 1957 film we realized that it isn’t just nearly any modern four-stroke MX bikes that look like a safe thrown off the roof of a building when they are jumped.
