The late Bill Cross is the fellow in the S&S Jacket. He was killed riding an ex-John Hately’s factory Triumph three-cylinder roadracer on the street.


Details:

Shot in early 1970s at Ascot with 16mm.

Used available light only–shot at night.The film was made on spec and later sold to Paramount. Bill Clevenger shot it, and directed it. He also wrote the score; the music was made for the film. He later went on to work in production on the TV series “Happy Days” and is now retired.

Track announcer is the late Roxy Rockwood.

Riders: Tom Horton 75X, 28R is John Sperry, 56z is Ivan Shigamasa, he was killed at Ascot later that year; 41R is Lanny North, 96R is Larry Gino, 10 is Gary Cadwell, 31R is Ron Powell and 42R is Tom White (RIP).
