Official timing has him as “Jacob Gagne” and he and teammate Camier are running around the 15th-fastest thus far on what must be a cold Jerez track. The Red Bull Yamaha team was rocked last week by the sudden resignation of their team manager, due to illness.
Sir Jon Rea on the Kawasaki seems to easily have the measure of the field. His lap-time is nearly a second faster than second-fastest Chaz Davies on the Ducati.
