Apparently there are numerous ways to watch the MotoGP video feed other than the subscription-based plan on the official web site. Also, one can watch it via TV if you are already paying for the MotoGP package via your provider.
Presumably for these reasons and more, Dorna and MotoGP have introduced a subscription model for the series live timing feature. Since Dorna.com launched in the late 1990s and up until the 2016 season live timing was a free option (with sign up) on the MotoGP web site.
The fee to watch live timing–no video–is around 20 Euros per season and available on the MotoGP web site.
