Soup-tastic: Jorge tackles a new important adventure with Ducati. Have you given him some special advice?
“Jorge has evaluated this step of his career very carefully as he had to close an important chapter of his life: nine years and three world titles with Yamaha I didn’t give him any advice, it was up to him to decide. My task is to support him in his choices”.
Soup-fiesta: Do you think that he can be a title contender already in 2017?
“I think that he will mark an era with Ducati. I think he will be competitive and that he can become world champion. The Desmosedici is a very good bike, then of course the final result depends on many circumstances.”
Soup-Burgermeister Meisterburger: How would you describe Jorge?
“He is a very demanding and perfectionist person and the most elegant and finest rider.”
Soup-The Man: What is his main defect?
Chico: “He doesn’t like to lose. He has been like this since he was a kid. He was able to change the rules of the game in order to win. When I was playing with him, he always wanted to win. But I don’t know if this is a weak point. All the champions have this characteristic in common.”
Soup Word Python: What is the strongest feature of Ducati?
“The arrival of Gigi Dall’Igna has represented the start of a new era in Ducati. Jorge and Gigi worked and won together in the 250cc class. They are both perfectionist. Together they make a very good team.”
