Noyes Remains In Coma

Serious head injuries defy any kind of schedule for healing

Racer Kenny Noyes was injured in a crash in Spain on July 5 and helicoptered to a Spanish hospital where he was put in a medically induced coma because of trauma to his head.

Noyes remains in a coma today, July 14.

Meanwhile, Spanish doctors are presumably satisfied with Noyes’ vital signs and have backed off the treatment keeping him in the medically induced coma. It can take time for the coma-causing drugs to wash from the system.

It’s a waiting game now for the family and friends of one of the friendliest, and humble, riders of the current generation.

With him at the Hospital Clinico Universitario Lozano Blesa of Zaragoza, Spain are his mother, father–ex-racer and author Dennis Noyes–his brother and Noyes’ wife. They hope for a full recovery.
