Keep up with all the action around Phillip Island

The gloves are coming off as the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship is set to kick off this week, at the now traditional season opener held at Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit. Heading over to the stunning circuit to soak up the unmistakable atmosphere? We’ve got everything covered, with all the information you need for anything happening on and off track.

Want to see how the World Superbike paddock operates over a race weekend? Well now is your chance to see the action for free as you can access the paddock on Friday with your ticket. This also means you’ll be able to see the all new Paddock Show as well as attend an exclusive autograph session for the chance to meet your favourite riders – making Friday the ultimate fan experience.

Featuring a whole new look for 2017, the famous WorldSBK Paddock Show is the best place to gain the full fan experience. With daily shows from the top riders, team managers, special guests as well as live commentary of all WorldSBK and WorldSSP sessions. A new Saturday SBK Super Show will be a must see for all fans, as Troy Bayliss makes his return to the WorldSBK paddock – you can see the three-time champion kick off the SuperShow at 4.10pm. Meet the rookies of 2017 before the WorldSBK Race 1 winning riders show, followed by the presentation of Tissot Superpole winner and Pirelli Best Lap rider. Sunday will allow you to meet the Aussie riders who will be impressing in front of their home fans, before the usual WorldSSP and WorldSBK Race 2 Shows.

Pit Walk passes mean you will be able to see all the garages up close, as well as meet your favourite riders. With three time slots per weekend, you will be able to purchase single day passes from the Event Information Office.

Want to take in some history in the world of motorbikes? Head over to the Motorcycle Collection in the Visitor Centre, as you can take a look at a collection of 24 Grand Prix motorcycles, which has recently been unveiled from a private collection in Italy. With a discounted entry for ticket holders over the weekend, this unique display is not one to miss out on.

Introduce a new generation to the world of racing, as we make the weekend a family affair. Extreme sports challenges, an action racer inflatable slide and a horse-o-plane, there will be plenty to do between the sessions and races over the weekend. Located on the Gardner Straight all activities for children are free. If accompanied by a paying adult, children under 15 gain free entry to the circuit all weekend. As well as this you can take the whole family to test out your competitive side at the Go Kart track, which overlooks the Bass Straight.

Soak up the full WorldSBK weekend atmosphere and the true WorldSBK Phillip Island summertime experience, as you can camp behind Doohan Corner just a few metres from the sensational circuit. With 24 hour access and affordable prices, it would be hard to miss out on.

Ride outside the service roads on your own motorbike and feel the speed of the World Superbike series around this one of a kind circuit, and park it up for free – the more bikes on board, the better.
