Pirro’s Horror Crash at Mugello; Italian is able to move after scary crash in second practice.

It’s looking a little bit like oh, 1992, in MotoGP this year with riders doing the cloud-grabbing high-sides. The early 1990s saw many riders injured in horrific highside crashes.

Ducati test rider Michele Pirro was high-sided off his Ducati in second practice today at Mugello.  Pirro was tossed to the sky in the crash and landed with a scary and dreadful impact.

Pirro’s post-crash body language suggested that the Italian was knocked unconscious in the fall.

After he came to he was able to move his arms and legs which is a relief. If he is able to walk after that crash then huge kudos to his boot-maker.
