American Brad Baker was injured in a practice crash at the X Games dirt track event yesterday in Minneapolis.
Baker was hospitalized after the crash and underwent surgery last night.
Reports have it that Baker suffered a severe spinal injury in the crash.
Baker is one of the few people on this planet who can claim to have beaten Marc Marquez in a race. In 2015 Baker defeated Marquez at the Superprestigio event in Spain.
