In 2011 Jim McDermott interviewed Eraldo Ferracci and Doug Polen for a Soupkast. The pair won the World Superbike championship twice and the AMA Superbike championship a single time before splitting.
The relationship between the two had been semi-rocky since 1994 when Polen left Ferracci and Ducati in order to sign with Honda and become the lead rider of their factory WSBK team. Polen had one year left on his contract with Ferracci.
