Soup is live at the Austin MotoGP event. For the first time ever there were no Rossi t-shirts in the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, there is no party at Kevin Schwantz’s rockstar home and Marc Marquez is not here to inflict himself on the MotoGP grid. Is there another cowboy who can rodeo this place? Is the Yamaha as close as possible to useless here as has been the case in the past? Can Alex Marquez step out of his big brother’s shadow and win?
I guess we are going to find out.
*We were going to ask Mir if he felt like he had the weight of the entire globe on his shoulders because everyone knows MM93 could show up here cold and win the race or at least podium so presumably he should be able to do quite well but the Repsol PR gal said we missed the time when he will speak English so no, sorry, no questions.
