The 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000 Yosh Superbikes are here and look absolutely stunning.

Souptastic is live at the Circuit of the Americas for the MotoGP event.

The weather forecast looks clear and warm for the race.

Teams and riders are still filtering through immigration at the local Bergstrom airport so it was a quiet day here at the track.

Reigning MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez has never lost a race at Austin and some feel that record may be under threat from at least a few different riders. The top spot on that list is of course Yamaha’s Maverick Vinales. The factory Yamaha man has dominated the 2017 season thus far–and pre-season testing. The Spaniard left the race at Rio suggesting he was going to have his crew build a “stop and go” Yamaha MotoGP bike for CoTA.

Yamaha, from the first day that they tested here, has struggled at CoTA. The M1 does not like to be ridden like a bronco bike and that’s what a rider basically needs to win in Texas. After every race or test he as done here at CoTA Valentino Rossi looking like he just lost a bar fight at Razzles. CoTA on a Yamaha is hard work.

However, Maverick is in that magic period of his semi-rookie MotoGP career where the speed and success comes to him relatively easy. Will this make a difference?

Hypothetically a rider needs to over-ride CoTA, thus Cal Crutchlow is another rider who some are pinning as a potential winner here.

On the national front Yoshimura and Suzuki are here with their new GSX-R1000 which looks more 2027 than 2017. The Superbike looks jaw-droppingly  incredible.
