Here's this week's greatest photo ever taken. It was shot at a Daytona tire test so long ago. Mike Hale made big news by making his roadrace comeback on the Erion Honda. It hurts to look at this photograph and realize how many good souls in this image have left us. Stig is dead. Dave Watkins is dead. Hanz is dead. Dan Fahie is dead. OH FINE. Christ, Fahie's not dead; he just left slicks for knobbies after he snagged an MBA. He runs Kawasaki's MX program now.

In the background Kurtis walks by in typical mood while Jim Allen makes notes. It hurts to look at this photograph and realize how many good souls in this image have now left us. Stig is dead. Dave Watkins is dead. Hanz is dead. Dan Fahie is dead. OH FINE. Christ, Fahie’s not dead; he just left slicks for knobbies after he snagged an MBA. He runs Kawasaki’s MX program now. DAN FAHIE IS NOT DEAD. REPEAT: FAHIE IS NOT DEAD. He is, however, Canadian and don’t let him ever forget that. (Fahie is in the back doing the arms crossed RayBan thing.
