The 2018 KR event closed with a ride to the Talbott Museum in Nor-Cal.
The Talbott is owned by Bob Talbott and curated by ex-Honda Superbike mechanic Bob Weindorf.
This is Bob Weindorf’s corner of the shop. He crewed for Mike Hale; the pair won Pomona and Firebord Superbike nationals, with crewchief the late Merlyn Plumlee.

The old Italian dumpster fairing display.
Kenny Junior gets a photo of himself on his RGv500 that he used to win the world title. His bike is on loan to the Talbott joint.
Bobby Weindorf and Mike Hale talk shop. This looks like the broken ribs at Loudon story.
Racer Don Castro’s shop is nearby so some of his stuff is housed in the Talbott as well.
Talbott’s museum is centered around bikes of the 1960s and 1970s.

One of Wayne Rainey’s 500s in on loan to the Talbott.
Every good collection needs an RC30. Because, let’s face it, the RC30 is the coolest bike to look at which also fries your arms and legs if ridden. Also: tall first gear, stoplights less fun.
Trust us: every man, if he could, would mount a WWII engine/prop in the back of his truck.
Great restoration of perhaps the most horrible sport bike made by the Japanese. 1969 500 triple. 1969 engine, 1957 brakes. 1952 chassis technology.
