
“I’m very sorry to hear of his passing,” Rainey said of Mann. “I got to see Bugsy (Mann) at different events over the years like the Trailblazer banquets and he was a nice, humble man. I remember watching him as a kid on “On Any Sunday,” and it impressed me with how tough he was. He must have been difficult to beat on a racetrack back in his day. You don’t win two AMA Grand National Championships without being a heck of a racer and he was one of the guys who could do it all really well – road racing and dirt track. He was a true legend, and he will be missed.”
